Services Used
Concept Development
We collaborated with Say It Sign to elevate their communication boards, focusing on ergonomic usability and universal appeal. By refining size, layout, and material choices, we ensured each board was easy to handle, stable on flat surfaces, and visually clear for users with limited mobility or vision.
Engineering
Using precision CAD modeling, we designed mounting aids (e.g., stands, clips) and board frames that support both handheld and tabletop use. These models helped us optimize for manufacturability, assembly simplicity, and durable production.
Prototyping
We iterated through multiple board prototypes—including coated cardstock and rigid inserts—to test wipe-clean surfaces, symbol visibility, and writing ability. Physical mockups also helped refine stand angles, weight, and balance for optimal usability.
Rendering
After finalizing the design, we supported production by sourcing print and material vendors capable of delivering crisp graphics, sturdy laminates, and long-lasting adhesive flats. We helped ensure quality consistency and scalability for both hospital and consumer distribution.
Prototyping
