FEA Virtual Testing & Simulations

Engineering Simulation & Analysis Services

At Lime Creative Design, we bring advanced simulation and engineering-analysis capabilities in-house — delivering rigorous structural, fluid, and thermal analysis to support robust, optimized, and manufacturable designs.

Why Simulation Matters

  • Design with confidence — Our simulation services allow you to validate performance, structural integrity, and fluid/thermal behavior before physical prototyping, reducing risk and cost.

  • Faster iteration and go-to-market — By simulating early and often, we can iterate on design variants quickly, shortening development cycles and accelerating time to market.

  • Cost-effective and efficient — Simulation minimizes expensive or time-consuming physical testing and prototyping; reduces over-engineering; and helps optimize material use and manufacturing processes.

  • Better performance, reliability, safety — Through simulation-driven design, we aim to improve product life, safety margins, and real-world performance while achieving regulatory or certification requirements when needed.

Our Capabilities:

We offer a comprehensive range of simulation services using industry-leading tools and methodologies, including structural FEA, fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal analysis, and multiphysics coupling where appropriate.

Structural & Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

  • Static structural analysis — assess stresses, strains, deformation and factor of safety under applied loads.

  • Modal / vibration analysis — evaluate natural frequencies, mode shapes, and dynamic response behavior for design resilience.

  • Load case simulation — analyze design under various load conditions (static, dynamic, complex boundary conditions) for realistic performance assessment.

  • Non-linear / advanced material models (where applicable) — to simulate realistic behavior under large deformations, material non-linearity, or contact.

Fluid Dynamics & CFD / Thermal / Flow-Based Analysis

Using SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation (and related tools):

  • Internal and external fluid flow — simulate flow through manifolds, ducts, valves, enclosures, as well as external flow over bodies (aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, environmental flow).

  • Heat transfer & thermal management — analyze convection, conduction, fluid-solid heat exchange; assess cooling, thermal dissipation, and temperature distribution in designs

  • Multiphysics coupling — transfer fluid-induced pressures and thermal loads from CFD into structural analysis to evaluate combined effects on strength and deformation.

  • Special conditions simulation — free surface flows (e.g., fluid sloshing, open-bath systems), rotating machinery (fans, impellers), transient flow behavior, and particle/ multiphase flow when applicable.

  • Design optimization — parameter-driven studies for optimizing geometry and performance (flow efficiency, thermal management, structural requirements).

How We Work — Our Approach

  1. Consult & Define Requirements: We begin with an in-depth consultation to understand your design goals, constraints, load/flow conditions, materials, and performance targets.

  2. Model Setup & Simulation Planning: Based on your CAD geometry (or we assist with CAD translation/import), we set up simulation studies — defining materials, boundary conditions, load cases, fluid domains, and appropriate physics models.

  3. Run Simulations & Analyze Results: We execute simulations using SOLIDWORKS Simulation, Flow Simulation, and other CAE tools, then evaluate outputs — stresses, deformations, flow fields, temperature distributions, pressure maps, etc.

  4. Iterative Design & Optimization: Based on results, we recommend design modifications — restructuring geometry, reinforcing critical regions, optimizing flow paths or thermal management — then re-run simulations to validate improvements.

  5. Reporting & Documentation: We deliver comprehensive reports with summary of results, key metrics (safety factors, deformation, flow rates, pressure, temperature, thermal gradients, etc.), annotated CAD/mesh snapshots, and actionable design recommendations.

  6. Support for Manufacture & Validation: Where needed, we assist in translating the optimized design for manufacturing, prototyping guidance, or help prepare for physical testing / compliance certifications.

Ideal for Clients Who Need

  • One-off analysis or short-term simulation support when in-house resources or licensing do not justify buying CAE software.

  • Regular design-for-manufacture optimization — reducing material usage, improving manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Early-stage product development where iterative design and validation accelerate go-to-market while minimizing risk.

  • Complex designs involving fluid flow, heat transfer, structural stresses, or combined physics (e.g., thermal + mechanical + fluid interaction).
