VentoRake is the first ever leaf rake combined blower with a powerful vacuum to pick up all debris, such as leaves, small twigs, and even acorns.— a must-have for any homeowner who wants their yard looking tidy.
Using our expertise in outdoor products, we collaborated with our client to develop this unique and innovative product, the VentoRake. By analyzing user needs and market trends, we conceptualized a versatile tool to efficiently handle yard debris. Our design team also made sure to design a product that was beautiful. Utilizing simple shapes such as the triangle, we were able to design something that was unique and aesthetically pleasing yet still functional
Concept Development:
Functional, portable, and lightweight solution
During the design phase of the VentoRake, our primary focus was to create a product that prioritized portability and lightweight construction. Recognizing the importance of ease-of-use and mobility, we engineered the VentoRake to be exceptionally portable, allowing users to move freely and efficiently during leaf cleanup tasks. By integrating backpack vacuum straps that distribute weight evenly across the shoulders and waist, we ensured hands-free operation without sacrificing comfort. Additionally, we meticulously selected materials and components to optimize weight without compromising durability or performance. As a result, the VentoRake not only simplifies leaf collection but also enhances the overall user experience by offering a solution that is effortlessly transportable and easy to handle.

Prototyping:
Iterative Design Grounded in User Feedback
During the prototyping phase, we created multiple iterations of the VentoRake to test and refine its functionality and user experience. Our team focused on achieving the correct sizing and ergonomics in the initial prototypes, ensuring the device was comfortable and intuitive to use. We utilized reverse engineering techniques on existing outdoor blower/vacuum models, deconstructing and re-engineering them to align with our design objectives. This approach allowed us to expedite development while ensuring the VentoRake met all performance and aesthetic criteria.
Engineering:
Visualizing Function and Modularity
Our engineering team meticulously designed the VentoRake to seamlessly integrate raking, vacuuming, mulching, and bagging functionalities into a single, efficient tool. We developed a lightweight backpack vacuum system that securely straps around the shoulders and waist, ensuring hands-free operation and reducing user fatigue. The 40V/4Ah lithium-ion battery and brushless motor were selected to provide extended runtime while maintaining environmental friendliness. Additionally, we engineered a removable rake head, allowing users to easily switch between raking and vacuuming modes for versatile yard maintenance.
