Atollas

Buoyant Accessories Built for the Water

Design Focus:

Buoyant solution to a real-world problem

Atollas is dedicated to enhancing the outdoor experience for fishing and adventure enthusiasts by offering gear that combines functionality, simplicity, and innovation. With a deep understanding of the needs of anglers and outdoor explorers, Atollas develops products that solve real-world problems such as losing sunglasses to the water. Their buoyant sunglass holder is a prime example of their problem-solving ethos, helping users enjoy their time on the water without worrying about essential gear sinking.

Product Development:

Functional Independence through Modularity

We partnered with Atollas to develop the Performance Floating Eyewear Keeper, a buoyant sunglass holder engineered for outdoor and aquatic use. Our focus was on functionality, fit, and field-tested performance. We selected materials and proportions that allow the product to float eyewear up to 1.8 oz (50g) while staying lightweight and durable for everyday wear.

200+ hours of Design & Development

Prototyping:

Iterative Design Grounded in User Feedback

We supported Atollas through multiple rounds of prototyping to test buoyancy, fit compatibility, and field performance. Through 3D modeling and on-the-water trials, we fine-tuned the design for better floatation and universal attachment, ensuring it works with a wide range of sunglass frames and stays visible on the surface.

Packaging Design

Visualizing Function and Modularity

We designed a minimalist, eco-conscious packaging solution using a thin branded cardboard sleeve that securely loops through the product itself. This design keeps the packaging clean, space-efficient, and highly product-focused, reducing material waste while still offering strong shelf presence. The clear iconography and contrast-rich branding enhance both visibility and customer understanding at retail.
